Category D1

The D1 subcategory includes buses, which have from 9 to 16 passenger seats.

Technical characteristics of category D1 motor vehicles:

• 9-16 passenger seats.
• Length up to 8 m.
• Can tow a light trailer (maximum mass up to 750 kg).

You can train to become a D1 category driver from the age of 20.5, provided you have held a category B driving licence for at least half a year (provisional licence and limited right to drive are not taken into account).
