Category C1

The C1 subcategory includes lorries with maximum mass from 3500 to 7500 kg.

Technical characteristics of category C1 motor vehicles:

• A vehicle intended for the carriage of goods and having a maximum mass from 3500 to 7500 kg.
• There can be up to eight passenger seats.
• Can tow a light trailer (maximum mass up to 750 kg).

You can train to become a C1 category lorry driver from the age of 17. You can also combine your course with category B training (passenger car), in which case it is called category BC1 training.
