Lorry
Category C
The C category includes lorries with maximum mass above 3500 kg.
Technical characteristics of category C motor vehicles:
- A vehicle intended for the carriage of goods and having a maximum mass exceeding 3500 kg.
- There can be up to eight passenger seats.
- Can tow a light trailer (maximum mass up to 750 kg).
You can train to become a C category lorry driver from the age of 20.5, provided you have held a category B driving licence for at least six months (provisional licence and limited right to drive are not taken into account).
