Category A

The A category includes motorcycles.

A category

Technical characteristics of motorcycles:

  • Can have two or three wheels.
  • Can have a sidecar.
  • There are no restrictions on engine capacity and power.

You can study for category A from the age of 23.5. It is important that you must already have a driving licence for a car of any category (including a provisional driving licence).

If your age does not allow you to study for category A, an alternative is to study for subcategory A1 or subcategory A2.
